2012 People's Choice Award Show

From the People's Choice Award Show Committee Chairperson, Barbara Castillo: The People’s Choice Award Show was held May 5th and 6th at the Simi Valley Art Gallery. We had a great turnout with 29 entries from 22 artists. The voting took place both days and we had 148 voters. We had 15 donations from our members for the raffle prizes. The committee would like to thank each and every one of you for your extra gallery time and artwork that made my first event as chairperson a great experience. We were proud to present Donna Snyder the award of $75.00 as the First Place winner. Her painting portrayed a beautiful seascape that inspired and captivated our Simi Town Center participants. The Second Place we proudly awarded to David Sgambellone for his cat portrait. He received a dinner certificate for Larsen’s Grill. A special thank you to Donna Snyder, Carlene Robertson, Michelle Mcgrath, and Pat Duggan for going the extra mile that made this event possible. Congratulations to all the participants. Thank you for being such great artists and dedicated members. |
