Artist's Statement

​Since childhood I have felt enchanted by nature and it’s beauty, especially when I am surrounded by it. As a young child, I often found myself drawing, coloring, painting, and making objects with modeling paste. Even though I maintained a passion for art, I pursued a different path in life, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. After working 12 years in the finance field, the need for exploring the freedom of fine arts has become a priority. In 2010, I met an accomplished artist/instructor living in Northern CA. She became my instructor and sounding board for the sharing of ideas. Later on, I enrolled into an art program at California College and continued my journey of growth through studying and practice. About a year ago I decided to record my painting processes and techniques and share them through my YouTube channel, Art by Oxana Cramer. As an artist, I choose to create work that imparts happiness, a sense of excitement, calm, warmth, and hope. Nature’s colors, patterns, and textures fascinate me. Every piece of art is a learning and discovery process for me that brings great joy and satisfaction. It is my greatest hope that you will continue to enjoy my work - a much as I love to create it.
